Locus sold to Enghouse Systems
Leading provider of fleet management solutions
Headquartered in Norway, Locus is a leading supplier of fleet management solutions for the Public Safety and Transport & Logistics (including Security) sectors in the Scandinavian market.
The Company is a clear market and technology leader in Norway. It dominates the Public Safety sector in the country, where its products are installed in all police cars, ambulances, rescue helicopters and fire brigades.
Locus’ transportation, logistics and M2M products are also well established in these markets. The Company has offices in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.
Strengthening global powerhouse Enghouse’s fleet management capabilities
Locus was acquired by Enghouse Systems from Finnish mid-market private equity house CapMan, for a purchase price of USD 14m.
Enghouse Systems, listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, is a Canada-based, leading global provider of enterprise software solutions serving a variety of vertical markets.
The acquisition significantly strengthens and broadens Enghouse’s capabilities in the fleet and transport management space.
In addition, Locus is a clear market and technology leader in Norway with emerging positions in other markets which Enghouse Systems intends to leverage in the future.
