Karga Seven Pictures acquired by Red Arrow

Karga Seven Pictures: Leading creator and producer of scripted and non-scripted factual entertainment

Karga Seven is a television production company based in Los Angeles who also benefits from strong ties to the Turkish TV market and has offices in Istanbul.

Karga has established itself as a leading creator and producer of factual entertainment, producing both non-scripted and scripted programs.

Since launch, Karga Seven has produced more than 300 hours of programming and has enjoyed great success working with a wide selection of leading US cable outlets, including Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, Science Channel, Discovery ID and History Channel.

Strategic investment for Red Arrow

In November 2015, Karga Seven announced that a majority stake had been acquired by Red Arrow Entertainment, a ProSiebenSat.1 Group company.

The acquisition strengthens Red Arrow’s foothold in the US while also strengthening its factual programming slate and global distribution business. Karga Seven is particularly interesting for Red Arrow because it produces a lot of subject-driven programming, rather than character-driven, which does not always translate well into other territories.

As part of the transaction, Karga Seven has entered into a worldwide distribution deal with Red Arrow International.

Post transaction, Karga Seven will continue to be led by its management team.

GCA Altium acted as sole advisor to the buyer.
