ACG Group acquired Groupama Private Equity
Groupama Private Equity (GPE) is a French AMF-regulated asset management firm, which was a 100% subsidiary of the French insurance group Groupama. Groupama Private Equity was set up in 2000 through the incorporation of Groupama’s corresponding division. GPE was a key player in the French private equity universe and benefited from a wide footprint through its three business activities: Funds of funds (Quartilium), mezzanine (ActoMezz), and buyout (Acto Capital). As of year end 2012, GPE had around €1.8bn assets under management.
At the time of the transaction, ACG Group included 5 asset management companies:
– Viveris Management, Sigma Gestion and IPSA, all 3 focusing on direct investments;
– ACG Real Estate, focusing on Real Estate; and
– ACG Private Equity, one of the leading European fund of funds managers
– ACG Group has currently more than €3 billion of assets under management
