GCA advises Flightdocs on its sale to ATP
GCA has acted as exclusive financial advisor to Flightdocs on its sale to Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP), forming one of the largest providers of software solutions and information services within the aviation industry.
Founded in 2003, Flightdocs has grown to be the second largest provider of aircraft maintenance tracking and inventory management solutions within business aviation. The company’s long-standing reputation for revolutionary software and best-in-class support has made Flightdocs the number one choice for flight departments around the world.
With the addition of Flightdocs, ATP will now support 75,000 maintenance professionals across more than 7,500 customers in 137 countries. Further, the team plans to continue investment in the development of new products to serve the business aviation, general aviation, commercial aviation, military/defense and OEM markets.
This transaction reinforces GCA as a market-leading M&A advisor to software businesses focused on asset maintenance & repair – and extends our recent transaction history in the category, which includes the equity capital financing of Screening Eagle by a Swiss family office and EDBI, the sale of Davisware to Serent Capital, the sale of Acumatica to EQT Partners and the sale of FieldEdge to Advent International.
