GCA advised Routrek Networks on its fundraising from A-FIVE, JA Mitsui Leasing and OPTiM
We are pleased to announce that our client, Routrek Networks (“RTN”), a leading Japanese Agri-tech startup, has completed its Series C fundraising from the Agriculture, forestry and fisheries Fund corporation for Innovation, Value-chain and Expansion Japan (“A-FIVE”), JA Mitsui Leasing (“JAML”) and OPTiM.
RTN is an agricultural IoT solution venture company that develops and provides the AI/IoT-based autonomous irrigation and fertigation system “Zero.Agri” to greenhouse farmers. The company will use the fund to accelerate its growth and “Smart Agriculture” technology for small and medium-sized farmers in Asia. It will continue to seek opportunities for additional fundraising and/or an exit in a few years.
A-FIVE, who led this round, is a public-private fund that is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan. JAML, an established Japanese leasing company of the Mitsui Group, and OPTiM, one of Japan’s leading IoT system integrator, also co-invested in this round.
GCA Technovation acted as financial advisor to RTN in connection with this transaction.
