GCA Altium advises EMH Partners on the acquisition financing for AVANTGARDE
GCA Altium has advised EMH Partners on the financing of the acquisition of AVANTGARDE Gesellschaft für Kommunikation, a Munich-based pioneering global brand experience agency providing 360-degree services such as Retail-as-a-Service to international blue-chip clients.
AVANTGARDE, founded in 1985 by Martin Schnaack, is Germany’s leading service provider in the field of Brand Experience. The company is a pioneer when it comes to bringing brands to life for consumers. In addition to its headquarters in Munich, AVANTGARDE has five other locations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Great Britain, Dubai, China and Brazil. This enables the service provider to offer its customers, which primarily include international blue-chip companies, a broad, international network of locations.
AVANTGARDE employs more than 750 people worldwide and offers its customers complete solutions in the area of Operating Service, especially in the area of Retail-as-a-Service (RaaS) for the physical presence of brands and products. In addition, through the business unit AVANTGARDE Experts the company operates as Recruiting service provider and develops its own software for Data Analytics, in order to measure physical brand experiences as well as to make them optimizable.
Dr. Thomas von Werner, Partner at EMH Partners, says: “The brand experience market promises high growth rates and large digitization potential and is therefore particularly attractive for investments. AVANTGARDE is outstandingly positioned as one of the market leaders, especially in the conception and implementation of unique customer experiences for leading brands and as a pioneer in retail-as-a-service.”
GCA Altium supported EMH Partners in both establishing a tailored financing package by a senior bank club to support the strong growth of AVANTGARDE and arranging a significant RCF facility including a local savings bank.
Norbert Schmitz, Managing Director at GCA Altium, stated: “Beside the transaction security we focused on the strong growth profile of the company by structuring a financing that provides the necessary operational flexibility and liquidity.”
