C More Norway acquired by TV2

Leading premium TV operator in Norway

C More Norway is one of the leading operators within premium TV in Norway with approx. 250,000 subscribers.

A subsidiary of C More Group, the leading premium pay-TV operator across the Nordics, the company offers 14 channels covering sports as well as movies and TV series.

C More Norway’s key sports rights include the Norwegian, Italian and Spanish football first divisions, and the company also offers its subscribers the best premium film/series portfolio in the Norwegian market.

Creating an undisputed leading Norwegian pay-TV operator

In March 2015, C More Norway announced that it had been acquired by TV2, is the largest commercial television broadcaster in Norway measured by daily time consumption.

TV2, headquartered in Oslo and owned by media group Egmont, operates several premium TV channels including its premium pay TV sport channel which among other sports rights holds the English Premier League, as well as an OTT platform, Sumo.

The combination of TV2 and C More Norway creates the undisputed leading premium TV operator in Norway with high quality content, including several tp football leagues in exclusivity, as well as the best premium movies and series, beyond any other premium TV operators in the country, e.g. Netflix, HBO Nordic etc.

The combined entity will also benefit from the promotion and editorial power provided by TV2 as well as TV2’s position as the largest media advertising platform in Norway.
