Bygghemma Group sold to Nordstjernan
Bygghemma: Transforming the home improvement and home furnishing market
Bygghemma is an e-commerce company offering a wide range of well-known brands in the home improvement and home furnishing segments.
Founded in 2006, the company has expanded organically and through acquisitions to a pan-Nordic business with e-shops in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway.
Through its latest acquisitions of Netrauta and the Badshop Group, Bygghemma has pro-forma revenues 2014 of close to EUR 150m.
Capitalising on major potential in Nordic e-commerce for home improvement and home furnishings
In November 2014, Bygghemma announced that Nordstjernan had acquired 88% of the shares in the company.
Nordstjernan is a family-controlled (the Axel and Margaret Ax:son Johnson Foundation) investment company with a strategy based on long-term ownership and developing listed and unlisted companies by contributing capital and expertise.
The company has longstanding experience of the construction industry with companies such as NCC and Nobia, and believes that there are major opportunities for an increase in e-commerce involving home improvement and home furnishing products.
GCA Altium acted as sole advisor to the sellers.
