Shohei is a Director of GCA Corporation with over 14 years of investment banking experience. Shohei has advised on a large number of successful M&A transactions, primarily cross-border deals in Europe, the U.S. and Asia. Shohei is also a member of GCA’s TMT team primarily covering imaging and semiconductor sectors. Key deals include the acquisition of US SDI Media Group by Sumitomo Corporation, Imagica Robot Holdings and Cool Japan Fund, Rohm’s acquisition of Irish Semiconductor venture company, Mirait Holding’s acquisition of a public Singapore company by scheme of arrangement, and Takarabio’s acquisition of US Nasdaq listed bio testing equipment company, among others.
Prior to GCA, he worked in IPO underwriting and M&A advisory at Daiwa Securities and DC Advisory London. He was at Daiwa’s IPO Division for over 5 years where he advised pre-IPO funding, engaged in listing preparations, stock exchange negotiations, IPO pricing, developing equity stories and the IPO roadshow. He joined GCA in 2014.
He has a B.A. in Economics from Hitotsubashi University.
