Prior to GCA, Michio worked for Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, and he was in charge of mainly large Japanese firms. He has provided various types of finance structure and the support of overseas advance. Since joining GCA in 2006, Michio has advised on many M&A deals. Some of these include advising GP Network Corporation, on its sale to VISA, Inc., the Tokio Marine Capital Co., Ltd, sale of 49.9% shares of Barneys Japan to Seven & i Holdings, the NM Holdings Inc. (SPC) management buyout of WISEMAN Co., Ltd., the Mitsubishi UFJ Nicos Co., Ltd. 50% share acquisition of PAYGENT Co., Ltd., the LAC Co., Ltd. business and capital alliance with KDDI CORPORATION., the Monolith Holdings Inc. (SPC) management buyout of 1st Holdings, Inc., the FamilyMart Co., Ltd. acquisition of SENIOR LIFE CREATE co., LTD., and Tokio Marine Capital Co., Ltd. sale of Miki Shoko Company to Nisshinbo Holdings, N.I. Teijin Shoji, Kondo Cotton Spinning.
Michio graduated from Kyoto University, majoring in Economics of Agriculture. He started his career in Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ.
