Kamal Ahmed is a Managing Director in the San Francisco office of GCA. During his 21 year career as an investment banker, Kamal has advised on over $86 billion in M&A transactions and has raised over $47 billion in financing for his clients. He has advised leading technology companies worldwide across a wide range of M&A situations including complex mergers, cross-border deals, hostile takeover defense, and shareholder activism. In terms of financings, Kamal has led IPO and secondary transactions, private placements, spin-offs, as well as convertible, high yield, and asset-backed financings. Prior to GCA, Kamal was a Partner at GTK Partners. Prior to that, Kamal was a Managing Director in the technology investment banking group at Morgan Stanley and was based in Menlo Park.
Kamal began his investment banking career in New York at CS First Boston. He received a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Cornell University, where he was a JGSM Scholar.
