Hiroaki Tamura is an Executive Director at GCA Corporation. He has over 20 years of M&A advisory experience with significant expertise in the industrials sector including heavy machinery, automotive parts and services, general and electric machinery, semiconductors, electronic devices and many others.
Before joining GCA, Hiroaki engaged in M&A advisory at the Strategic Advisory Department of Daiwa Securities SMBC. Prior to Daiwa, he was a member of the M&A Group of Sakura Bank (currently Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation). His major advisory deals include the merger between Minolta and Konica, MBO of a leading automotive parts manufacturer, sale of Kiriu to Sumitomo Corporation, 100% consolidation by Sumitomo Heavy Industries, acquisition of Sanyo by Panasonic, the acquisition by ON Semiconductor of Sanyo Semiconductor, the acquisition by Asahi Kasei of US venture company Crystal IS, the sale of Honda Motor’s car electronics business to NIDEC and Nissin Kogyo’s JV with Autoliv of Sweden.
Hiroaki received a B.A. in Commerce from Waseda University.
