Daniel Avrutsky is a Managing Director at GCA focused on enterprise, infrastructure and vertical software. He has 19 years of global M&A advisory and public and private equity capital markets experience, and has advised on over $100 billion in M&A transactions for technology, media and telecom clients.
Prior to joining GCA, Daniel was a Managing Director at Perella Weinberg Partners, where he was the head of software and IT services coverage and the co-head of the firm-wide shareholder activism defense practice. Daniel was recruited by Perella Weinberg within a month of its founding and was the first member of the US technology coverage team there.
Previously, Daniel worked at several leading global financial institutions, including Warburg Pincus and Salomon Brothers. Daniel began his career as a quant and a C++ developer with J.P. Morgan interest rate derivatives desk.
Daniel has been actively involved with and served on company and advisory boards of Skillsoft, Artesia, Yodlee, FundsXpress, Kate’s Goodness, News360, and a number of other technology and software businesses. Previously, he served on the Grant Committee of Skolkovo Foundation, the largest high tech development agency in Eastern Europe. Daniel also fundraises for the American Lung Association.
Daniel holds a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Duke University and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He also studied Mathematics and Computer Science at Moscow State University, writing software code to pay his way through college.
