GCA Altium advises Warburg Pincus portfolio company Infoniqa on the acquisition of Sage Switzerland
Warburg Pincus acquired Austria-based Infoniqa, one of the fastest growing HR software companies in the DACH region, in September 2020. The acquisition of Sage Switzerland from Sage, the UK-headquartered and publicly listed provider of ERP solutions, further expands its presence in Switzerland, nearly doubling annual revenues to EUR 60m and increasing the number of employees to a total of 410.
The acquisition especially strengthens Infoniqa’s positioning in the strategically important segment of small and medium-sized enterprises. Its product portfolio will be broadened to include ERP solutions, financial management software as well as payroll and HCM solutions tailored to local Swiss requirements. The products gained through the transaction include Sage Start, Sage 50 Extra and Sage 200 Extra, which will continue to be developed and supported in the future. These products are highly compatible with Infoniqa’s offering, resulting in excellent synergy potential.
With the purchase of Sage Switzerland, which follows the recent acquisitions of MS Navision payroll market leader Haveldata GmbH at the end of 2019 and payroll outsourcing specialist StoneData GmbH at the beginning of 2020, Infoniqa is pursuing its planned course of continued growth in the DACH region.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
