GCA Altium advises Boxine on growth partnership

GCA Altium has advised Boxine GmbH, the inventor of the Toniebox and Tonies, on the search for a new partner to support its next phase of growth.

Boxine GmbH develops and markets tonies®, the innovative and award-winning audio system for children between the ages of three and ten. Consisting of the "Toniebox" playback device and the matching audio figures – called Tonies – the system makes audio content tangible and enables a completely new type of listening experience, "audio play". Tonies are digital and innovative, yet child-friendly, independent and playful.

Since their market launch in 2016, Toniebox and Tonies have not only taken German children's rooms by storm, but also the hearts of children and parents. With Tonieboxes in six different colours, around 200 different Tonies as well as the self-recordable "Creative Tonies", Boxine has created an ecosystem of limitless audio game fun with audio books, audio plays, music and knowledge topics.

In addition to Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the Toniebox is now also available in the UK and Ireland. The constantly growing portfolio of Tonies includes numerous Disney titles, classical fairy tales and music as well as a number of successful English audio books such as The Gruffalo, Stick Man and Zog.

In order to further drive its internationalisation, Boxine GmbH has chosen the Munich-based industrial holding Armira with selected co-investors, including the Strüngmann family, as new shareholders. Together, the further development of the company, the expansion of the product range and the international expansion will be advanced. Operationally, the two founders Patric Faßbender and Marcus Stahl will remain managing partners. "Following a successful market entry in the UK last autumn, we want to continue to grow internationally and are delighted to have found the ideal partner for this in the industrial holding Armira," commented Faßbender und Stahl. Boxine GmbH was supported by GCA Altium in its search for a suitable partner for the next phase of its development.
