GCA Altium has advised Axpo Holding AG on the sale of Avectris AG, an experienced IT service provider for medium-sized Swiss companies, to GIA Informatik AG, a specialist in the areas of ERP, CAD/PLM solutions and general IT services in the Swiss SME market.

Avectris was a subsidiary of Swiss energy companies Axpo, EKZ and AEW. Axpo, based in Baden Switzerland, employs around 5000 people and is the largest Swiss producer of renewable energy and an international leader in energy trading and the marketing of solar and wind power. The firm distributes and markets electricity and is active in the energy services business. Axpo develops its innovative energy solutions based on state-of-the-art technology for customers in 40 countries in Europe, North America and Asia.
